Join us on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:30 p.m. to explore a different genre or type of book at the library! You choose what to read within the category. You don't need to register. For adults.

January 8—Cookbooks! The fun thing about cookbooks is that while learning to create recipes, you also learn about the chef, the region, and the history behind the recipes. Another challenge is to try completing one of the recipes and come and tell us how it went! Cookbook authors' ideas include Oliver James, Ina Garten, Anthony Bourdain, or Ree Drummond.

February 5 – Favorite Author: enjoy staying warm inside by curling up with a return to your favorite author. Find a book you’ve never read by them before or reread a favorite. Be prepared to tell us why you love your author!

March 5 – From Page to Screen: tackle an adaptation of a popular book that was turned into a movie or TV show. We will debate whether the book or the movie is better. Possible book ideas include The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand, Dune by Frank Herbert, The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, or the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn.

April 2 - Graphic Novel: stretch your imagination and step into the visually immersive world of graphic novels! Some ideas of wonderful graphic novels: March by John Lewis, The Sandman series by Neil Gaiman, The Heartstopper series by Alice Oseman, or V for Vendetta by Alan Moore.

May 7 – Retelling: a new and fresh way to enjoy a classic tale by reading a retelling of a myth, fairytale, or literary classic. Possible book options include Circe by Madeline Miller, Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, Mythos by Stephen Fry, or James by Percival Everett.
